The venue is recently refurbished and wonderful small with competent staff. Handy and peaceful location near Senhora da Agonia Lighthouse. - Only 10 min walk to downtown. - Free parking on site provided. - Clean pool area too.

The man on reception was incredibly helpful. He spoke excellent English and was able to make recommendations about eating places as well as give practical directions into the town and for the onward part of our car journey. The hotel overlooks the River Lima.
It was difficult to find because of a one way system & rather poor signposting generally (street names either don't exist or are too small to read in traffic)so we thought we were staying outside the town but in fact the receptionist explained and we discovered that it was very near the centre. Breakfast was marred by the coffee being stewed.

There were exceptionally comfortable beds and iron/ironing board, an electronic key card and a work desk inside the room.

The linen was synthetic and the service poor. The fisrt room we were offered was rejected on thegrounds of smelling of cigarette smoke. Bed hard and pillow small. Wouldn't stay again.

Only the position of the restaurant, which has a nice view from the 6th floor and friendly staff.
The hotel is outdated, it was like coming back in time to 1970s. It even had a particular smell of a very old building, this hotel needs a complete makeover, it is nothing close to a 4 star hotel, the price for a night should be around 25Euros. While visiting Portugal, we stayed in 6 different hotels and we had a very good experience, but we didn't enjoy the stay in this hotel and it was too expensive for what it offered.

The staff were very warm, friendly and attentive. The hotel pool was a clean and pleasant place to pass some time relaxing and swimming. Water was pleasantly warm in July. The rooms were very spacious and comfortable with good modern shower and en-suite facilities. We found that, unlike many other hotels, tea-making facilities are not provided in the room. If that's important to you a travel kettle is a worthwhile investment. All in all very good value for money. Viana do Castello and its surroundings is a worthwhile area to visit and has plenty to offer visitors.

The room we had was so nicely done, and it was super quiet. Plus, it had a really cool balcony. I mean, think about it - there was even a hot tub there! It was all just so lovely and made the stay really enjoyable. the facilities here are top-notch! 💫

I recently stayed at a hotel in Viana do Castelo and it was a great choice for my stay. The location was perfect, just a 5-minute walk from the town center and right beside the river. The staff at this hotel were very friendly and attentive, making me feel welcome throughout my stay. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, almost like a suite. It was definitely value for money and I would highly recommend this hotel.
All was good, without any major issues.
